A Trip To Washington
I'm currently sitting in the Salt Lake City Airport in Utah right now. It's interesting to see the different kinds of people that are here. I bet someone is saying that about me too. Haha. I'm going home for a day to see my brother Brandon graduate. I'm really excited. It's been a long four years and I'm eager to see him in his cap and gown. He's going to be so happy getting that diploma! (At least I hope he is.)
Things at school are going well and I'm really excited to go to Greece and Turkey. I got an email today from Brother Call with a lot of information about the tour coming up. I'm going international!!! Wooo! One class that is really getting to me is my Business class. It's so vague and sometimes hard to understand. We have a group project to meet with a client. Ours is the owner of Rays Chevron, Steve Oakey. He's a nice man who commands respect. He's a very interesting fellow. We had an interview with him today to ask him about his business. It went pretty well.
DO you ever wonder where to sit in an airport? I think that may be the biggest challenge some people here face. I know this blog is a little scatter brained but oh well. Hopefully that's not a big deal to all of you.
I'm going to try to do some homework until my plain boards. I may want to eat something too. Meh. Bye!

I'm Going to Greece! (Oh and Turkey)
Soooo, what's new and exciting? That's right, I'm going to Greece and Turkey in September! Isn't that great!? I and 39 other students will be traveling across the world to study the history and culture of these two magnificent locations. I'm so excited to learn and to grow. This program is the Mediterranean History Tour sponsored through BYU-Idaho. I'll be sure to update the blog regularly with photos and such so that you can all have a piece of Greece!

I. Am. Success.
Today's blog is about success. What is it? How is it measured? Are you successful? How far will you go to get what you want?
I work at a website development company as a Marketing Assistant. Yesterday a customer called in and was wanting to develop a website. I helped her figure out what exactly she needed and we came to an agreement on a price for the services. I was excited to work with her and help her create a great website!
This morning the other Marketing Assistant got upset at me because he had talked to this same customer for 30 minutes answering questions. I was on the phone for about an hour with her and also communicated extensively through email with her.
I was told by this other assistant that what I did was unprofessional. Was it? Should I have not helped this customer and waited to pass the message on? No. I help customers. I was in the right place at the right time and offered great service.
I am successful. I'm approachable. I'm kind and give great customer service. Right now we're competing to see who will keep their job as the company downsizes. The other assistant is very "buddy buddy" with the boss and I fear that because he is, my success may be over looked. Mr. Clark, once the Dean of Harvard Business, said that in a company sometime you have bad apples and sometimes the barrel that holds them is bad.
If I'm over looked because I don't brown nose... this barrel is rotting.

Fly Me To The Moon
Well it has been a long time now hasn't it? I will try to do better. Reading my last post I just want to let you all know that my Birthday came and went and well... here I am. :) There's no blood so I must be fine.
I've been working on some projects lately and I know you're all dying to see what I've been up to. So tonight you're in for a special treat! Sit back, listen to some music and enjoy these photos. I love you all!

A Monday Post.
Tonight has been a great night. Though it wasn't too spectacular or exciting I was where I was supposed to be and it gives me comfort that I am reliable. I also realized tonight that we are sometimes guided to a certain place at a certain time for a certain person. It's amazing to see people's prayers answered.
This winter semester is a little more difficult then I thought it would be and that's because I'm only working. I volunteer on campus and have design projects, but it doesn't seem to be enough. I'm so used to a fast pace life style that slowing down makes me feel unproductive. I know that it is good and needed though.
With Valentines Day just around the corner as well as my birthday it's been a love filled week (even though it's Monday). The anticipation from the girls and the nervousness of the boys has me enjoying the show. Tonight a rose was delivered to my friend Katie with an invitation to date next Monday. She was very happy. You may be wondering if I have any big plans for Valentines Day, my answer is no I do not, not yet that is. :)
I've been thinking a lot about Patric lately and I've realized that on the 21st it will have been a year since we popped the question. It amazes me how quickly time comes and goes. I've conversed with him a couple of times since Christmas, he seems to be doing well. His leg has healed quickly from the accident. It was awkward and uncomfortable at first to talk to him, but as adults do, we sucked it up and got through it. I hope the best for him in his endeavors.
My life is good and I've been protected every step of the way.
